Getting around Nevada: car, bus and the one train

You need a car for anything outside Las Vegas or Reno. Amtrak's California Zephyr stops once daily at Reno, Winnemucca and Elko on its Chicago–Emeryville run — scenic, but not a practical way to get between Nevada towns. Harry Reid (LAS) and Reno-Tahoe (RNO) are the two airports; a Strip taxi from LAS is a flat $19–$27 plus fees.
