The Vegas break-down
Room: $110 to $150 midweek at Flamingo, Paris, Horseshoe or Cosmopolitan (weekdays only for the last), plus $45 resort fee. Breakfast: $18 in-room or diner. Lunch: $22 counter meal at Grand Central Market at The Cosmopolitan or Eataly at Park MGM. Dinner: $60 at a mid-range Strip restaurant. Cocktail and cover: $25. That's your $200. Adds an Uber and you’re at $215. Weekend Strip stays require $280 a day, minimum.
Outside Vegas
In Reno, $200 buys a Whitney Peak room ($160), a real dinner at Death and Taxes ($40), and coffee-and-croissant morning ($8) — very comfortable. In Lake Tahoe midwinter, $200 covers a Hard Rock Stateline room in shoulder season plus one lift ticket day, if you buy the ticket in advance online. On road-trip nights (Ely, Tonopah, Elko) you’ll spend well under $200 — bank the savings for Vegas nights or a $99 Sphere show.
