About Boise
Boise has grown rapidly in recent decades, attracting new residents and businesses while maintaining a relatively compact, walkable core. Cultural institutions include the Boise Art Museum, the Idaho Anne Frank Human Rights Memorial, and the Morrison Center for the Performing Arts. The city is also known for its outdoor access: the Ridge to Rivers trail system offers hundreds of miles of paths in the foothills, and Bogus Basin Mountain Recreation Area lies north of the city. The Boise Depot, a historic train station, overlooks the downtown skyline from the south. Each summer, the Twilight Criterium brings professional cycling to the streets of downtown Boise.

When to go
Boise has a semi-arid climate with four distinct seasons.
