Show tickets for Adele-tier residencies, U2-at-Sphere-type runs and Cirque du Soleil sell out months ahead; buffets and steakhouses at Bellagio, Wynn and Delano need OpenTable reservations 2–3 weeks out on weekends.

Expect $120–$220 midweek plus a $35–$45 resort fee for a mid-tier Las Vegas Strip room, $60–$100 downtown, $80–$150 in Reno, and $75–$130 in rural Nevada towns like Elko, Tonopah or Winnemucca. Lake Tahoe and Incline Village in season run $250–$500. Weekend Strip rates typically double the midweek number, and any Friday-Saturday in Vegas during a convention adds another 50%. Always add the resort fee and 13.38% Clark County room tax before comparing prices.

Sort of — the Strip is about 4.2 miles end to end, and buildings look closer than they are because they’re huge. Bellagio to the Venetian looks like a 5-minute stroll on the map but is 25 minutes on foot including pedestrian bridges and casino floor detours. In summer, walking outside between 11am and 6pm is genuinely unpleasant at 40°C+. Use the free trams (Mandalay Bay–Excalibur, Mirage–Treasure Island, Aria–Park MGM) and the monorail on the east side, and Uber for anything more than two resorts apart.
