Getting there and around
Sunriver is in central Oregon, about 15 miles south of Bend via US Highway 97. The nearest major airport is Roberts Field in Redmond, approximately 35 miles north. From Portland, the drive takes about 3.5 to 4 hours. Amtrak serves Chemult, about 60 miles south, but a car is recommended. Within Sunriver, a network of paved paths makes cycling and walking easy. A car is useful for exploring the surrounding national forest, Mt. Bachelor, and other attractions. Parking is generally available at the Village and resort areas.
