Moab is served by Canyonlands Field, a small regional airport with limited scheduled service. Most visitors arrive by road: from Grand Junction, Colorado, about two hours east on Interstate 70 and US-191, or from Salt Lake City, Utah, roughly four hours northwest. From the south, US-191 runs up from Monticello. Driving is the practical way to get around, since the national park entrances, trailheads and river access points are spread out. Downtown is compact and walkable, and a local shuttle serves parts of the area in peak season. Fuel, groceries and supplies are available in town.
